Who we are

John Ramsay

​John is the Director of Venari Finance whose specialist market is senior finance appointments predominantly across Scotland but also across the UK. He has worked within the recruitment sector for the past 8 years firstly for a global plc and latterly a respected boutique firm. John specialises in the identification of “next generation” talent within the qualified finance sector and has built a first class reputation by delivering an honest and transparent service to both candidates and clients alike. John has worked with a broad and varied portfolio of clients ranging from FTSE 250 to privately owned family organisations. His track record of retention is second to none and he prides himself on his ability to match aspirational individuals with like-minded companies.​​

Julian Harburn

Director of Venari, Julian has over 25 years’ experience in recruitment and specialises in senior appointments within the professional services sector. Having led business practices within small boutique, medium sized and large global PLC's, Julian is widely regarded as one of the industries best established and most experienced recruiters. His passion for ethical recruitment and delivering high-end customer service is the driving force behind Venari Recruitments business ethos.​​​

Adam Skelton

Adam is a senior associate specialising in the legal sector. Over the last 5 years he has established a first class reputation as a recruiter within the legal field, quickly becoming a trusted recruitment resource for small boutique businesses through to firms within the revered Magic Circle. Well respected and known for his expert diligence and attention to detail, Adam has become a leader in his sector and his passion for delivering on behalf of his clients cannot be overstated.​​

Victoria Harburn

​Victoria is the most recent member of the Venari team and joins us having recently ran her own business for the last 5 years. Before having children she worked in Sales and Marketing for health clubs and lead several national campaigns in this field. Her academic achievements include an honours degree in Business Studies and a Masters in Sport Science, both gained from Edinburgh University. ​Victoria is really excited to be coordinating Venari's social media and marketing such a specialised recruitment service. ​​​
